STONE WEB3 GRANT PROGRESS UPDATE — STONE Index
Developed on Polkadot Substrate.
STONE Index is an open-sourced project with a few dependencies like Polkadot Parachain with Swap, Wrapped Assets, etc.
Thanks to Substrate’s forkless upgrades, the entire network is upgraded over time without fear of splitting the network. STONE index turns the concept of an index fund on its head. Instead of paying fees to portfolio managers to rebalance your portfolio, you collect fees from traders who rebalance your portfolio by following arbitrage opportunities.
Stone Index is a part of the broader development plan for the STONE-V2 product roadmap.

Follow the steps in this tutorial to get started.
- Install the https://github.com/stonedefi/stone-index-substrate-ui and https://github.com/stonedefi/stoneindex-node
With both these apps running successfully proceed to load http://localhost:3000 from your web browser.
Below are some example screen shots to help you get started with the new UI.
Add a new Index
Click management in the menu and Edit the form with necessary info in Add section.
When completed Click Add button.
3) If everything works, it will popup update success
Update a new Index
Click management in the menu and edit info in any existing index in the update section.
Click Update button, If everything works, the update successful popup will be displayed.
User to buy a new Index
From the landing page, a list of available indexes are listed, you can choose any one to buy.
Key in an amount to buy and click the Buy button.
User to sell an index he(she) has
From the landing page, a list of available indexes are listed, you can choose any index that has balance.
Key in the amount user want to sell and click Sell button, the amount cannot more than balance of the index.
With STONE Index, users have the option to just set-and-forget, STONE algorithmically manages assets by rapidly rebalancing positions and earning trading fees over time, STONE-V2 simplifies sophisticated investing. Users can also choose their own weight between assets, STONE Index supports limitless index portfolio, keep everything under control.
